Female Fitness Models - Karen Pattern
I am lucky enough to be able to call the
two most beautiful places in the world, “home.” I was born in New Zealand
and travel there frequently with my family. The rest of the time, I
get to enjoy the majesty and beauty of Alaska, where I live with my
husband and our children. I am a stay at home mom and started training
around a year ago when I decided it was time for me to spend a little
time on myself. Prior to that, my workouts had been tossing the children
around (not literally J ) and biking and dancing with the kids. Just
after my youngest daughter turned 2, I joined a local gym and learned
about fitness as a competitive sport. As I had spent my childhood competing
in gymnastics, I was excited to get into a performance based competition
again. I competed in and won all three NPC sanctioned shows in Alaska
in 2004. In 2005, I competed in the Alaska State Bodybuilding, Fitness
and Figure show and won fitness overall, figure tall, and figure overall.
I then competed in the 2005 Emerald Cup, where I placed 2nd in fitness
tall. Most recently, I placed 4th in Fitness Nationals in Atlanta.
My current mission is to educate today’s youth about health,
fitness, and nutrition. I donate my time to give seminars at local schools
and talent agencies. I believe with the right information, anyone can
make a commitment to a healthy lifestyle and enjoy a greater quality
of life! Please visit my website at www.karenpatten.com
