Life Time Fitness lands in Columbia
WASHINGTON BUSINESS JOURNAL, July 7 2005 -- Life Time Fitness,
which operates a chain of gigantic fitness centers, is opening its latest
Washington-area facility in Columbia. The new facility, on Lee DeForest
Drive, will be the company's first center in Maryland and its third
in the Washington area.
The Eden Prairie, Minn.-based company's Columbia fitness
center will open early next year.
Like others in the chain, the center will be open 24 hours
a day, seven days a week, and includes not only gym and cardiovascular
equipment, but also swimming, basketball, racquetball and squash facilities.
It will also have a restaurant, child care center and a salon that includes
hair, nail and skin care as well as massages.
Life Time Fitness has 41 centers in eight states
right now. Its other Washington area locations are in Fairfax and Centerville.
